Human ConcernsSt. Andrew’s parish seeks to reach out to those in our midst who are in need. A primary goal is to address the temporal needs of parishioners, those within the Pascack Valley community, and, as our resources provide, those within the Archdiocese. The Corporal Works of Mercy are at the core of our ministry: to feed the hungry; to give drink to the thirsty; to clothe the naked; to shelter the homeless; to visit the sick; to visit those in prison; and to bury the dead.
Join us in caring for all those in our parish and local community. -

The Giving Tree
During the season of Advent and Christmas, we have giving trees set up in the rear of the church with tags for donations to various charitable organizations. These organizations represent children in need, disabled adults, and those with long-term illnesses. For more information on our giving trees and when we will start collecting, please visit our homepage and check the bulletin during the month of December.

The Harrison House
The Harrison House provides a safe haven for AIDS patients at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus. On the second Thursday of the month. Volunteers from the Church of St. Andrew are asked to prepare dinner and deliver the meal to the residents of the Harrison House. We can provide you with meal ideas and instructions for delivering the meal. This is a wonderful opportunity to care for the sick.

Donation Bins
Donated clothing is placed in our Catholic Charities clothing bins in the rear of the church parking lot. Clothing is distributed to families in need. Clothing, small appliances, linens, sheets & tools, children's books, toys, and baby items are also collected. No breakable items, please.
Please only place donations that are in good and usable condition. Unusable donations are not only an inconvenience but they strain the donation center that needs to arrange for disposal. This time and money can be better used caring for people in need. Soiled, torn, or overused clothing need not be donated. Please respect the recipients who are in need of clothing and other donations.
